EIFS and Green

EIFS, put almost too simply, is like wrapping a big blanket around a building. It’s a
seamless blanket of insulation...on the outside…where it can be most effective. Over 400,000
buildings worldwide are clad in EIFS systems, saving an average of 20% on their heating and
cooling costs.

This decision to use EIFS, beyond the flexibility and aesthetic appeal associated, packs
enormous environmental punch, lowering carbon dioxide emissions and fossil fuel consumption.

I am proud to be associated with this product, and feel that its place as the exterior
cladding of choice has yet to be fully realized. Our insurance solutions play an integral part of the
progression of EIFS. Owners and developers should feel confident that when selecting a client
insured with our EIFS unit, proper coverage is in place, removing maybe that inhibition to using EIFS.
